The Robert V. Cram Award
Robert V. Cram Scholarship Students majoring in Greek and/or Latin, and who will not have finished their degrees before the 2009-10 school year, are invited to apply for a scholarship honoring the memory of Robert V. Cram, who taught Classics the University of Minnesota for many years. The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Studies will make one (or possibly two) award(s) of $1,000. Students who wish to apply should submit (1) a statement of personal and academic goals, (2) a transcript (which may be unofficial), and (3) the names of two teachers, preferably of Greek and/or Latin, who are willing to provide a reference (a letter is not necessary). These materials should be submitted to Professor Eva von Dassow, the Director of Undergraduate Studies, by Tuesday, May 8, 2009.
